Do you have a tween or teenager wanting to jump head first into giving karate a try for the first time – OR – who is already a student and wants to hone their karate skills to near ninja-like perfection?

Due to popular demand, we are again offering two week-long karate summer camps just for them! All levels of karate experience are invited to join the OKD instructors for an unforgettable time, as we deep dive into the principals of Uechi ryu karate.

Campers will immerse themselves in learning/practicing foundational skills, intermediate and advanced techniques, learning new sparring and application skills, breaking down kata applications and much more!

They will also go beyond technical karate skills with fitness sessions and learning about leadership tools, mental and emotional intelligence, and how to apply the principles of martial arts culture (discipline, patience, respect and more!) in everyday life.

The Okinawan Karate Dojo is a Maryland Department of Health certified Summer Youth Camp. Our spacious and clean two-level facility and outdoor area provide plenty of space for our campers to spread out, and our trained and experienced full-time staff are always there to ensure your child has a wonderful time.
