Our style of martial arts is an extremely effective and engaging style of karate from Okinawa, Japan. As a dojo (Japanese for “way place”), we customize the structure of our classes to fit the needs of students at different ages and abilities. Therefore, everyone can find their “way”. Let us work with you to give you the life skills to live fit, live safe, and live long.
Regardless of the program/experience, our classes are life-altering and centered around bringing out the best in our students. Our dojo’s team of well-trained, patient, and friendly black belt adult instructors are led by Head Instructor, Sensei Stanley Crump – 7th Degree Black belt. Sensei Crump has been facilitating mentorship programs and teaching karate in Howard County since 1996, and has developed an appreciation for what makes karate schools good.
As you approach the Okinawan Karate Dojo, you may be impressed by the safe neighborhood and surrounding community. Or maybe it is the bamboo floors of our intimate, clean and contemporary facility that catch your eye. No matter the reason, we are comforted by the fact that our students walk away from every experience with the Okinawan Karate Dojo stronger, leaner, energized, and confident.
