After School Program Students receive FULL-ACCESS to unlimited
karate classes – during AND outside of the program hours!
Students enrolled in our After School Program with Transportation will also be enrolled in our traditional karate program. Your child receives access to all karate classes on our schedule (for their age/rank), and all the benefits of OKD membership – in addition to top-notch after school care!
A typical day in our program includes:
- Transportation for your child from his/her school, to The Okinawan Karate Dojo
- Homework time (if needed)
- Snack time
- Games/crafts/free play
- Physical activities – outdoor play, organized games, relays and team challenges, Fitness Ninja Obstacle Course, climbing wall, and more!
- Karate instruction – typically 2-3 times per week
- Pick-up by 6:00 PM
The elementary schools we cover*:
Bellows Spring, Ilchester, Northfield, Phelps Luck, Rockburn, Veterans, Waterloo, Worthington
*Additional schools will be considered, upon request.
We provide transportation and after-school activities for your child every school day, including scheduled early-dismissal days!
The Okinawan Karate Dojo is a licensed child care provider by the Maryland State Department of Education.
We follow strict guidelines set forth by the MSDE for our staff qualifications and training, our programs and activities, and our facility. We pride ourselves in providing TOP-NOTCH programming, and a safe, FUN, and enriching place for your child to spend his/her after-school time. License #255757
